Funds raised at these signature events provide essential operating funds for Buffalo Bayou Partnership and enable our non-profit organization to continue creating, stewarding, and programming vital parks and trails along Houston’s most significant natural waterway.
Cocktails in Bloom

Join BBP for our second annual Cocktails in Bloom. This year’s event will be held al fresco in Buffalo Bayou Park at the Nau Family Pavilion and Eleanor Tinsley Garden. Guests will enjoy cool cocktails, tasty hors d’oeuvres, music, and beautiful views of the verdant park. Make plans to support this spring soirée and BBP’s work to create and care for dynamic parks and trails along our city’s historic waterway. Individual tickets are $150.
Or consider joining BBP as a $1,000 Patron member and you will receive two tickets to Cocktails in Bloom as well as exclusive opportunities throughout the year.
Kids Day

Thousands of children and their families enjoy this free community event held along Buffalo Bayou each year in October. Kids Day offers fun, hands-on activities, music, performances, Dia de los Muertos face painters, and so much more! Sponsorship opportunities are available.
Buffalo Bayou Partnership Gala
NOVEMBER 2, 2023
Our annual gala held in Buffalo Bayou Park is Houston’s most memorable al fresco soirée. Guests enjoy cocktails and a seated dinner under a spectacular tent with an extraordinary view of downtown Houston. Tables for ten guests and individual tickets are offered.
Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta
MARCH 2024
The BBP Regatta is the largest canoe and kayak race in Texas, stretching 15 miles from San Felipe (just west of Voss) to downtown. Finish-line festivities at Allen’s Landing include music, lunch for participants, and an awards ceremony. Paddlers, ages 12 and up, are encouraged to participate in this longstanding Houston tradition in support of Buffalo Bayou.

APRIL 2024
Breakfast on Buffalo Bayou features thought leaders in the fields of urban planning, park and public space development, and landscape design. For the 2023 event, guests enjoyed conversation with Robert Hammond, Co-Founder and former Executive Director of Friends of the High Line and now President and Chief Strategy Officer for Therme Group US, with Mimi Swartz, author and Executive Editor of Texas Monthly.
